yrs
The Northern Branch of the Jowett
Car Club of New Zealand is a friendly group whose interests are
centred around Jowett vehicles. We invite interested persons to join.
You don't have to have a Jowett, we can soon find one for you! You'll
find it relatively inexpensive for such an interesting classic
vehicle. The club has a full supply of New and 2nd Hand Parts, and
members are very helpful with restoration assistance and advice.

Northern Branch and Activities:
If you are interested in getting
to meet the members, or learn about or see Jowetts come along to the
weekly 'Shed Night', or would like to join us on a club run or

Throughout the year we also have
several 'non official'
events and get togethers, ranging from helping members get 'wrecks'
home, to impromptu club displays at vintage steam shows and other
classic car club shows .

This year this event has been moved from Waiuku
and good public numbers are expected.
The Flying 50 Street Pursuit is the final event of a
multi day Drive NZ event that tours NZ and has race sessions on
various tracks.
Jowett Car Club is getting a reputation for having good
car numbers at car displays and is often the envy of other Clubs.
Let’s again put on a good showing as this day will be “just British”
Cars entering the British Car Club display will access
the entry gates by exiting at the Manukau off ramp, proceeding down
Wiri Station Rd from Great South Rd to the Osterley Ave lights, just
Past the Manukau City Council Building, opposite the new Police
station.
Turn right into Osterley Ave, and at the junction of
Osterley and Putney Way you will be stopped at a set of gates. Show
your car club membership card or be in a Jowett, and you will be given
entry by hand stamp to the Osterley Ave British Car display. ( Note
gates will close at 8.55am) Angle park your car at the appropriate
spot designated by your club coordinator. You now have free reign of
the event by showing your hand stamp to access the flying 50, visit
the cinema, shopping centres, cafes etc.
Circuit access is at designated intervals via circuit
gates operated by track marshals under control of the Clerk of Course.
You will be able to access the pit area and viewing areas in Hayman
park. You will be admitted any time before 9am when the gates close
for traffic.

chance to test your vehicle economy against the others but also have
an interesting lunch stop for all the family. The run is approximately
100 miles long, most being in the morning with a morning tea stop at
country bar, where you can get a coffee or tea and a snack, or if you

come in the funny car that is just fine.

travel via some back scenic, but sealed roads. Southern members can
meet us enroute or at Te Aroha. Final programme details are
almost complete but will include a chance to wander the main street, a

spa baths and hot pools, explore the domain and museum adjacent to our
motel, dinner, mini scenic rally round the town to take in the sights,
and may participate in the Jowett petanque challenge. On the way
home we will visit a model train, and you can explore the many
